Congratulations to Ms. Rawdha Ameen on her graduation from Texas A&M University in Qatar
Ms. Rawdha Ameen graduated with her B.S. in electrical engineering. She has been an undergraduate research assistant in the REAPER lab for the last year and has made valuable contributions to many projects including developing a photovoltaic i-v curve tracer and an arc generator for arc-fault detector testing.
Dr. Mohammad Shadmand Joins Kansas State University as Assistant Professor
Alumni Mohammad Shadmand joins Kansas State University as an Assistant Professor. The REAPER lab wishes him all the best as he launches his academic career.

The REAPER lab congratulations Dr. Xiao Li upon his graduation. He received his PhD in electrical engineering. His doctoral research pertains to control of photovoltaic inverters.

The REAPER lab welcomes Dr. Wesam Rohouma to the research group as a PostDoctoral Fellow.
Congratulations to Mr. Lance Alpuerto on receiving his M.S. degree
The REAPER lab congratulates Lance Alpuerto on receiving his MS degree in electrical engineering. His research pertained to the mathematical analysis of the morphology of non-planar photovoltaic collection surfaces. He will remain in the REAPER lab and pursue his PhD degree.
IEEE ECCE: Presentations
Dr. Balog and five graduate students participated in 2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. The research group presented a total of nine papers.

Dr. Balog served at the co-TPC (Technical Program Chair) for the 2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
Welcome Dr. Mohammad Shadmand
Dr. Mohammad Shadmand has joined REAPER Lab as a full-time research engineer with expertise in model predictive control and renewable energy systems. He will also serve as Principle Investigator for a 1MW, medium-voltage photovoltaic inverter project in collaboration with Dr. Abu-Rub from the Qatar campus of TAMU.

We’re proud to congratulate Dr. Haiyu Zhang (PhD) and Ms. Hezi Zhu (MS) on their graduation from Texas A&M University and the REAPER Lab.
Dr. Zhang’s doctoral research pertained to control of photovoltaic inverters.
Ms. Zhu’s thesis research was related to arc-fault detection in photovoltaic solar energy systems.
