REAPERlab graduate students Vijay Kumar, Vildan Turan, and Sakshi Batawale toured the Eaton Experience Center on April 10, 2026 in Houston, Tx USA. Arranged by the Texas A&M University IEEE IAS, PES, PELS joint student branch chapter, participants saw first hand various aspects of the modern electrical systems including a mock petrochemical refinery, a substation with a power distribution grid, and microgrid with distributed energy resources. Experiential learning helps to “ground” theory from the textbook to practical implementation using real-world equipment.
